SAKKI weekend

It was so weird to come back to school today because I haven't been there almost two weeks :o first there was Lady Gaga's concert and that's why I went away from school already on Tuesday. Rest of the week was travelling back to Outokumpu and other little things what I had to do. And then last week was Autumn holiday. I had that kind of feeling that I was like having summer holiday because it felt so long time without school :D and what can be better way to start school week than four hours finnish lessons? hrrr...

But then to better things: I had awesome weekend ! First of all on last Friday we (me, Annika, Anttoni, Milla) started our travel from Outokumpu to Helsinki at 7.40am. First we traveled to Joensuu by bus where Rosa, Taija and Nina joined us and after that our trip to Helsinki started by train. We were in Helsinki around 2pm and immediately we went to our hotel where we left our bags and then it was time to start thing what we were waiting all day: SHOPPING !! I've been waiting shopping so long time because I've got so much fitter and that's why almost all my old clothes are like some kind of tents on me. I'm so happy that I found many nice clothes (but I'm not so glad that I lost very much money too) so now I have little bit more nice choices in my wardrobe what to wear :) after shopping it was time to rest and have fun in hotel (and when students talks about fun it's really FUN !!)

At next day it was very beautiful morning. It was time to go to Siikaranta where we had meant to have our SAKKI course. This SAKKI course is for Student's clubs from different schools around Finland. And because I'm in our school's club I was of course there :) And it was very good choice to a have little bit different kind of weekend. I got very many new friends from course and I REALLY wish that we would have connect with each others after this course too (well of course we have Facebook but daa-a??). In course we had little bit lessons about Student's clubs (which wasn't new for me at all), different kind of activities how we get to know each others and awesome night show ! There was improvisation theater showing up for us and it was so awesome ! I'll promise to you that if you ever see this Riskiryhmä improvisation theater you cannot be without laughing ! :D 

On Sunday it was time to listen little bit more lessons about student's rights and homosexuality. Bot of those lessons were very interesting. at 1pm it was time to pack stuffs and leave back to home. Travelling to home took all rest of the day but luckily I had good company. My girlfriend Annika left to Imatra for job learning so now it's coming lonely night sniif:( 

But hey I'll promise for all students that you should join to SAKKI's activities because there is so much so great people ! :) And there is coming other things than just lessons about Student's club too.

and yes, again boring non-picture post but I have lost my camera's USB cabel to somewhere :o (it may be with Annika) and I think that you even don't want to see those pictures what I have :D

First of all I have to apologize that I haven't write nothing for a long time at here. But somehow I think that there isn't very many people who even is waiting my texts. Well never mind my angst.. Maybe I have to write more often so maybe then there is more readers? 

But now to the point.. Last time I wrote that we are starting shootings of my music video and now it's done. I didn't write earlier because I was waiting that Piia gives me some pictures of our shootings but I cannot wait any longer because otherwise I'll forget hole thing. Maybe I'll send those pictures later?

So we started shootings two weeks ago. At first day we were shooting in our school's staircase. Staircase scene is coming in second stanza and in that our "Anna Abreu" Annika is sitting on stairs and she is singing to the camera. In my music video there isn't like any plot or theme. It's like mainly just singing to the camera in different places. It may sound boring but I have seen many that kind of music videos and I don't think that those videos are so boring. 

In that day we didn't shoot nothing else cause we decided to shoot other scenes at autumn holiday. 

So then came second shooting day which was last Monday. I was little bit nervous about first scene shootings because we were making that outside and I wanted that there is like sunny weather because then you can see like warm autumn colors in frames.  Well there was mostly half cloudy weather all the time but I think that frames wasn't so terrible still. It was annoying that I didn't have monitors outside but I believe that my cameramen knew what I wanted.

After outside shootings It was time to take cup a coffee inside and get ourselves warm. Then we went to TV-studio (so we were in our school) where we were shooting chorus scenes. I am very proud of those lightnings what we made for that part ! We were like lightning just singer so you cannot see nothing else on background. I wanted that there is that kind of feeling like there is just that singer and no one else near by. And god I love that camera panning what is there in first frame on chorus scene !! It's good to know that there is at least one very great frame in music video :D There was little problems because there was very much like movements with cameras and then there was those wires on way and that's why cameramen were on stuck all the time with cameras :D But after all those funny problems we were finally done with shootings. After shootings I started to be nervous about that do I have enough frames for those parts when there isn't singing. It's very hard to get nothing very special frames for those because there isn't any plat so it may be little bit stupid if there is suddenly some cow on frame. Well we'll see that in edits then.

I think that audience can see which was first scene which we made :D and I'm very sure of that audience can see that student who is studying mostly radio was director of this video. But it was still very nice to create own ideas to the video and try something totally new. It would be nice if I can be part of those video projects some time again.

Radio Kupari and common studies

hellouuuu !!

So last three weeks we had radio course. We were making radio-shows in our radio station Radio Kupari what was something so awesome ! There was three different kind of jobs for radio: hosts, reporters and news team. My job was to be leader of news team and it was fun. Finally I knew EVERYTHING about what's going on around the world :D moreover I was hosting Radio Kupari's morning show every day 9am. There was few people who didn't like radio but I believe that mostly everyone was enjoying and having fun! I can't wait that when Radio Kupari start shows for longer time because I'm gonna be in that project !

Yesterday common studies started.. It means that I have to sit again on a chair and listen teaching about math, chemistry and about every other boring things ! Thanks god that we don't have those studies longer than just one period at this year (and if I say straight our main school is much better because there is windows, plants and paintings in corridors!). Thank's god those teachers what we had met are even nice !

On next weekend I start to make music video with my classmates. We are making video from Anna Abreu's Done With Her song. It's little bit stressing to think how big job is coming for that video but still I can not wait for weekend because I have waited this thing so long time ! Our shootings should be finished after 2 weeks because then our singer/actor Annika leaves from Outokumpu. So there is coming loooong days ! But main thing is that we are enjoying about that ! :) Let's see what happens.. soon you'll know that when I'm crying at here how hard is to make good music video;))

And hehheeyy !! I almost forgot to say that we have those open doors-day again in our school and I am again introducing with very big Pepsodent smile our radio studies with my classmate Soile who was making Hälyttämö with me earlier. Look at those promo-pictures of us. We are so cute<3

Sauna is finnish horror film and it’s first bigger horror movie what has made in Finland.

Story goes to year 1595 when 25 years long war has ended between Sweden and Russia. In movie there is Swedish and Russians groups whose are making new lines for countries middle of the forest. In Swedish group there is brothers Eerik and Knut Spore. When they are making new map lines they kill a peasant and leaves his daughter to the basement for death. In north’s bog they saw this girls ghost who returns to persecute them. Soon they comes to unknown village which is middle of the bog. Next to village there is very old sauna. Old story tells that you can wash out your sins inside of that sauna. Soon they’re plans changes because of weird happenings.

What’s so special? 

If we are thinking about finnish film making Sauna-movie is something totally new in big productions. Of course there has been this kind of tinier production companies which has made horror movies but Sauna was first bigger one and which has reached other world too. And then if we start think little bit more lower Sauna isn’t just a normal scaring film. Sauna’s genre is more like emotional, psychological horror.

I chose this film just because this is something so new for finnish movie making. And it’s not enough that this movie is bringing new genre to Finalnd because Sauna has showed in other countries too. For example I would say US. 

When you are watching this movie you should concentrate on colours which are very much making this kind of “death is close” feeling. I love this movies sound world because its growing emotions on this movie perfectly ! Just speaking is bothering me at the some points because it’s too much like studio voice. 

Independent week

This week has been very many-sided. Almost all my classmates went to Nurmes to movie camp or multi camera work. I didn't go there because I thought that its much better for me to practice video editing when others are in Nurmes. I had purpose to edit theater's videos but then came very bad barrier for my plans. Director who gave to me those videos was understanding my job wrongly and that's why my only job for those videos was export them to DVD.
So of course I had to think new project for myself for that week. At next day I was mixing Hälyttämö's new jingles and on Wednesday I played those jingles at the first time on radio.

New project for last week was to make introducing video about radio-and tv-work for Open doors- day.
 I made that video with my classmate Sarita and our school's PR-person who gave us that project was happy about final version.
I'll try to send that video at here later.

Next week we are starting Radio programming- course. At first week others are getting familiar about radio-studio and then we'll start to make for next two weeks radio show on Radio Kupari. My job is to be producer and I'm very excited about that. Its nice to have some responsibility work !
