Viimeiset hetket oranssissa

Täällä Pargassa vedän retkeä Meteoran upeille luostarivuorille joka viikko. Noin kuukausi sitten matkan aikana yksi asiakkaista tokaisi ohimennen, että "et ole päivittänyt blogiasi muuten hetkeen..". Hauskaa tavata kasvotusten ihmisiä, jotka eksyvät tämän miun blogin (jokseenkin hyvin harvaan päivitetyn sellaisen) pariin! Tästä motivoituneena myös ajattelin nyt usean usean usean kuukauden hiljaiselon jälkeen vihdoin ja viimein kertoa kuulumisistani.

Paljon on ehtinyt tapahtua tässä välissä. Lähdin Vietnamista pois maaliskuun puolivälissä. Vietin kolme viikkoa Suomessa, jonka aikana kävin mm. sisustamassa uutta asuntoani Turussa. Kyllä, kuulitte oikein, TURUSSA. Vietän tällä hetkellä ihanaa kesäkautta täällä rakkaassa kreikkalaisessa kylässä Pargassa ja parin viikon päästä lopetan ainakin toistaiseksi opasurani ja muutan takaisin Suomeen. Tuntuu hyvin oudolta ja ehkä jopa pelottavalta ajatella, että parin viikon päästä ei tule pukeuduttua enää oranssiin uniformuun ja toivoteltua hyvää lomaa ihmisille. Olen viihtynyt tässä työssä niin hyvin! Nyt kuitenkin aiemmin mainitsemani Journalismin opinnot Turun AMK:ssa odottavat ja sen takia on aika lähteä taas tunnustelemaan miltä pakkanen tuntuu eksoottisessa Turun rannikossa.

Vaikka Suomeen paluu alkaa jo kummittelemaan nurkan takana, olen nauttinut joka ikisestä hetkestä täällä Pargassa ja tässä työssä vielä kun voin! Saavuin oikeastaan Pargaan tänä vuona kuukauden etuajassa ennen kautemme alkamista, jotta miulla oli ihan kunnolla aikaa olla ystävien kanssa ja vaan nauttia ajasta ilman mitään työkiirettä. Eli tiivistettynä: innoissaan lähden kohti uusia seikkailuja Suomeen, mutta haikealla fiiliksellä lähden pois Pargasta.

Tällaisen tiimin kanssa olen saanut tämä kesän viettää! 

Matkaoppaan työn parhaimpia puolia on se, että tutustuu ja ystävystyy niin monien ihmisten kanssa.

Tämä lyhkäinen päivitys oli tällainen elonmerkki siitä, että olen vielä olemassa! Yritän ottaa niskasta kiinni ja tässä lähiaikoina avata vähän enemmän teille kaikkea mitä oon nähnyt ja kokenut tämän kesän aikana!

Destination nr. 4

Again it's that time of the year when we guides get info where our life is leading for next 6 months. As all previous years I applied again to three different destinations. For this summer I applied as third wish to Kalymnos and second Thassos. My first wish was the place where I knew already last summer I'm going to apply. And of course I got it!!

So.. Destination where I'm going for this summer is:

PARGA!

I'm coming home! I really can call Parga as my home because it really became like that in last summer. There is just something so magical in that place that I decided to go back there instead of discovering new places. I want to go to destination where I know I will be happiest guide ever. And I'm that already now! I can't wait for moving back there. 

What makes this even more awesome is that the team which I'm going to work with is going to be quite much the same as last year. Last year we did pretty awesome job and became very good friends so it's nice to continue that what we had last summer.

Today is 15th of February and it means that I have exactly one month left here in Vietnam. After this season I will spend few weeks in Finland and then in beginning of April flying to Parga to celebrate eastern, the biggest celebration day in Greece. Our work itself starts in May but it's nice to go already earlier over there to have quality time with all dear friends and just enjoying life. Really can't wait!

But now I'm still concentrating for being here in Vietnam. In fact I should go to work very soon.. so  for the next time!

My year 2014

Year 2014 is over.. crazy... This year passed maybe fastest than any other year ever! During last year i've been moving to 3 different countries, Spain, Greece and Vietnam. And I have travelled a lot otherwise as well. Gran Canaria, London, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Athens, Rome, Corfu, Albania, and many other places!

I would say that in 2014 I really did what I loved, I travelled around and met much new people. And many of those people became good friends for me and I'm very sure that I will spend many many more memorable moments with them later also.

Here's some things what I also did:

 I was celebrating new year 2014 with my colleagues in South Tenerife. Mainly all pictures what I got in that night was totally black pictures. May tell already enough how night was?

In Tenerife beginning of the year was much celebration. After new year it was time for carnivals! 

I really recommend to go to Tenerife on carnival time! That week will be the funniest week of your year.

After carnivals me and Erik took mini holiday to neighbor island Gran Canaria. And we did that what was almost impossible.. we got lost in this freaking small dunes!! 

In Tenerife I had my first car accident. But not the last one. Had to wait only one month and I did the same in Finland.

On February I made surprise for my little brother and I showed up to his school dance's. He didn't have any idea that I was even in Finland. 

After Finland I flied to London. One of the year 2014's top things was to see my dear friend Viivi again!!

On April my 7 months work period in Tenerife ended and it was time to continue to new journeys.

First to home hoods...

This summer I managed to make one of my dreams to happen when I visited in Rome. Beautiful city where I definitely want to go back!

In the end of the season we had a road trip with June to Athens. Little bit sightseeing and Lady Gaga!

And soon after that it was time to leave Parga, it's wonderful people and my new friends. And that was not the easiest thing to do.

After Parga season I had 2 months to spend in Finland. But of course I was not able to keep myself in  a same place all the time so it was time for a small Scandinavia trip!

After 2 months started maybe the most exciting journey in my life so far, when I started to work in Vietnam. First time in Vietnam, first time in Asia, first time so far away from home!
